A Devastating Alternate Second World War

April 16, 2008

Quick update...

I've added segments 53.3 and 54.1 to the 'Second World War' time line page.

Also, regarding Segment 54.2, my goal is to have it ready before the end of April.

Olefin here

So where are you on your goal since you missed the end of April?

And please tell me you didnt kill off Rommel just to kill off the new guy next - Germans are running out of generals.

The Germans are not running out of generals.

Then lets say they are running out of interesting ones - although we havent seen Heinrici or Wenck (both were great defensive fighters) yet and unless I missed it Manstein is still alive.

Some of the best generals would be dead or retired by now just from old age or sickness as well.

Speaking of generals - with the AfD/US alliance now shouldnt Eisenhower be making an appearance?

Out of curiosity how many nukes have been dropped so far?

If my count is correct, the US has dropped 40 since January 1948, and the British have dropped 4 since April 1949. So say 44.

My new goal is to finish the new part by this weekend. Even though I missed my April deadline, if I can finish by this weekend that would still be faster than average for me.

Bobby is Manstein still alive? Havent really seen him mentioned much and he was a big factor in many campaigns in OTL.

Manstein should still be alive, unless Hitler had him shot after he was removed from command of Army Group South in PART 49.3 for being a "weak defeatist."

Bryansk and Orel remain in Soviet hands although the German breakthrough at Smolensk does threaten them.
