Gone for a week...

Hi all,

I'll be gone for the next week on vacation. My brother is close to getting the board running again, this time on a hosted site so we avoid these down times in the future. I would expect the board to be back up by next weekend.

Guys a question - considering we have been using this area as a board for the last few months when the new board goes up do you feel we should transfer the stuff we have been discussing there to the appropriate places on the discussion board?

I think that whey could do that but it will be a lot of digging as whey have use this board for more then 3 months now.

But I fell sorry for the old board and the massive SW data on it.

Well, allthough I have nto been aroudn too much lately methinks that transferring at least some of tha data would be good. And maybe the old board can be "restored" in ana archive kind of way? We discussed wuite a lot on that one.

For anyone interested we can still use the update comment board for now for discussion - CJ and I have put up stuff there about the US and Japanese fleet buildup prior to WWII breaking out and the status of a German Amerika bomber from Bobby.

Its the same place we were using before Roel- i.e. the blog here where Bobby put up the last update - its just that it is now on the older post area.

Bobby any update on the board? One big question - when whatever replaces it comes back up will the whole contents of the board be transferred to it or will we have to start over again from scratch? If so will we have access to the old board to get things like, for instance, my story that I was writing?

Can someone give me the link to the last board we used, the free third party one. I can't seem to find that link in my notes anywhere.
I'm going to link to that so we have a temporary forum.

My brother has already gotten a host for the discussion board but its been more complex to get the board up on it then he expected. He has all the database files and whatnot from the board, just needs to get it up running on the host he purchased.
